Harleys

I've always loved motorcycles, ever since I was a little kid. As I grew older, my preference was for Harley-Davidson's and those v-twin customs built around the HD platform. My taste in the Harley models has changed over the years. I previously owned a 2002 Deuce, and while I loved that bike, I currently own a 2005 Electra Glide Classic. It is more functional, as the fairing is nice in the elements (cold & rain), the radio is SO sweet to listen to while cruising, and the bags allow you to easily carry your stuff. I have modified mine so that the Tour Pak (big box on back) can be taken off via a quick-detach system. This makes it look sportier (like a Street Glide).

While I was attending MMI, I worked for 5 months at Pitbull Choppers, a custom chopper builder in Orlando. I did not get to work on the bikes, I was in charge of maintaining the inventory, insuring parts were available for the guys who did build the bikes. It was nice being around those choppers all the time.

And of course, I worked for 3.5 years as a Harley mechanic in Concord, NC. This gave me the opportunity to ride SO many bikes, as well as to do custom modifications along with routine maintenance. A dream job for some, but I quit in order to return to the Software Development field, my first choice in careers.

Here's a photo I took of my Deuce (the black one) and a stock photo of my Electra Glide. I have some more pictures of them, I will add a gallery in the near future.
